Lights are back on

The power has been restored to the effected area.

Dark day... Power's out in the east end

The power has been out in the east end of Toronto for a few hours now. To be exact it's an area roughly bordered by York Mills Rd, Sheppard Ave, Victoria Park Ave, & the DVP.

Toronto hydro is working on the issue, but they do not have an estimate as to when the power will be restored.

Southport Street Fire

I had a view of this tragic fire from the 30th floor of a Palace Pier condo. It was a 3 alarm fire, sending 16 trucks and 75 firefighters to the scene because flames were seen shooting out from the 15th floor. A 74-year old man was pulled out VSA, but was later revived. I'm not sure what his current status is.
